It still has plenty of power through the butt and middle part of the rod when it comes to controlling very big fish at close range, or hit-and-hold snag fishing, and its slightly more forgiving action means that you can really pile the pressure on when you need to without fear of pulling the hook. Recommended casting weight: 1-3oz.
