The 8’ and 9’ medium rated choices offer a 7-28g casting range with 9’ medium heavy a level up at 10-35g. But for bigger lures the 9’6” heavy will propel 12-42g with ease. This one is FUN! Foojin’RS Springer 88ML has a surprising amount of umph in it when you put a reel on. It will cast a 32g metal with ease (its max.) but I’d say is best suited to soft plastics, plugs up to just over 25g on the whole. You’d want to jump to either the VIVOGUE 96ML+ or LYNX 93M/SKY HIGH 99M if you’re regularly fishing 25g or more. It’s not the most efficient rod to buy if you’re fishing surface lures 80% of the time, but for everything else, this is one of the best rods I’ve ever handled.
