Description

MAP TKS G30 16m Pole

The 16.0m TKS G30 is an exceptional pole, and uses the same mandrel as the TKS 501, which has always been considered one of the best ever poles produced for its price point, so offers full interchangeability with the 501. The G30 has reached new highest in performance, and offers superb balance, weight and stiffness even at its longest length. As with all the G Series poles, we have used Graphene which is impregnated into the carbon, that has helped create all-round pole that that’s incredibly robust due to the nature of the material, yet remains incredibly well balanced and light. Each top kit supplied with the G30 features a unique depth marker print, so you can quickly find the correct amount of depth you require, or know what depth you were actually fishing at. Also, each top kit is also supplied with an extra-long PTFE bush fitted as standard, and fitted with our unique side roller puller.

So what is Graphene. Fundamentally it’s a single layer of Graphite, the same material used to make a pencil. If you peel away the layers of Graphite, you end up with a monolayer of Graphene. This layer of material is a single atom thick, which is why it’s a two-dimensional material. The atoms arranged in a hexagon or honeycomb structure, with each atom bonded to more around it, and it’s the strength of these bonds is the main reason Graphene is so strong.
